Speedometer cable drive gear assembly for 1G DSM with Auto AWD transmission
"Vehicle Speed Sensor VSS" - technically the 1g doesn't have a sensor in the transmission, instead it has this mechancal drive gear..which rotates a cable that is routed to the speedometer in the dash gauge cluster. The gauge cluster displays vehicle speed and converts the cable drive rpm into an electrical signal which is wired to the ECU/TCU.
